Flange Welding Quality

Many customers wonder if the quality of plate welded flanges surpasses that of forged welded flanges. In fact, the quality of plate welded flanges and forged welded flanges is the same. However, the biggest drawback of plate welded flanges is the material itself. While the density of plate welded flanges is generally acceptable during production, the raw blanks are rarely inspected. Therefore, the material quality of untested plate welded flanges produced cannot be guaranteed.
