Manufactured by SHANXI XINSHUNDA FLANGE MANUFACTURING CO.,LTD, Epoxy Coated A105 Carbon Steel Backing Ring Flange is specially matched for HDPE PE stub-end piping system. Produced from forged ASTM A105 carbon steel, treated with normalized heat treatment, full blue fusion bonded epoxy coating for potable water service. This steel backing ring undertakes bolt tightening pressure and protects PE stub-end from crushing or deformation, achieving stable leak-free connection between HDPE plastic pipe and metal pipeline equipment. Full material traceability is guaranteed. Each batch is supplied with EN10204-3.1B Material Test Certificate, including heat number, heat lot number, chemical composition and mechanical test data. Third-party inspection retest is available upon client request.

Qualified ASTM A105 Forged Raw Material Normalized treatment ensures stable mechanical property: Yield strength ≥250MPa, Tensile strength ≥485MPa, Hardness 137-187HB, suitable for long-term pipeline pressure bearing.

Drinking-water Grade Full-range FBE Epoxy Coating Inner and outer blue epoxy anti-corrosion layer, resist soil and water medium corrosion, meet municipal potable water project requirements.

Protective Support for PE Stub-end Transfer bolt pre-tightening force through steel backing ring, avoid plastic stub-end being crushed, maintain reliable sealing performance of HDPE pipeline connection.

4. Production Details

All A105 backing ring flanges adopt hot forging process. After forging, workpieces go through normalizing in car-bottom furnace at 900℃, hold for 4 hours then air-cooling to get qualified microstructure and mechanical performance.

Raw material incoming inspection: direct-reading spectral chemical analysis

Post-forging: heat-treatment execution & hardness spot check

CNC machining: flange face processing, bolt hole drilling

Surface preparation: sand blasting reach Sa2.5 grade

Epoxy powder spraying, install plastic plugs for bolt holes to avoid coating blockage.

Notice: Please remove plastic protective plugs before field installation.

Inner protection: Anti-rust paper and plastic film for single piece; keep bolt-hole plastic plugs intact.

Outer package: Fumigation-free plywood wooden case / heavy-duty steel pallet for bulk orders.

Marking: Heat No., size, material grade, customer OEM logo can be marked on flange body and outer package.

Shipment: FCL or LCL container loading. Products are firmly fixed to prevent collision damage during sea and land transportation.
